It only seems natural
for Doug and Jeannie Buell to be working together at providing playgrounds and recreational areas for all to enjoy. Doug has a degree in Parks and Recreation and Jeannie has a background in Early Childhood Education.
Doug Buell
Co-owner, Buell Recreation
Doug has always had a passion for the outdoors and spent his early years living directly across from a child's wonderland, Amazon Park in Eugene, OR. It was the best park in town with much to offer a young child. Strangely enough Jeannie also took outings to play at Amazon Park; little did she know her future husband was either there playing or watching from just across the street.
When Doug returned from the Marine Corps he married Jeannie, they were 20 and 21 years young and had a great foundation to start their journey. After five years of being married Doug was injured in several logging accidents. With 2 young children he knew this was time to change direction. Doug quickly earned his Park and Recreation degree and spent the next 15 years providing recreation for the military families. He worked in Italy, Connecticut, Oregon and Washington offering soldiers and their families a safe place to retreat and enjoy. Doug started out as a buyer of Park and Play equipment, so he knows what it's like to be on the other side.
Jeannie Buell

Jeannie grew up with 4 sisters and her parents were smart enough to always live walking distance from a school or park playground. She also experienced some traveling adventures; four of her teen years were spent living overseas as her parents worked at the International Schools. She volunteered in a Thai orphanage helping children to learn a sense of play and joy. She grew up with an understanding and compassion for people of all diversities and recognized the importance of play. In Jeannie's early years as a parent she wanted to work where she could combine parenting and work. She worked in Public Schools, Head Start programs and was a Director of an Early Learning Center. Jeannie had a wonderful childhood and wanted to help others. When daughter Kara was in the hospital at the age of 5 Jeannie vowed that she would spend her life doing something for the good of children.
Doug and Jeannie are both Certified Playground Safety Inspectors and have many years of experience in building outdoor Parks and Recreational areas. They pledge to offer the same outstanding customer service they always have. Their mission is to create special outdoor places for people to play, exercise and relax.
